FIELD: test equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention is used for the non-destructive test of long-term operated metal of operated devices of heat power equipment. The essence of the invention consists in that the delay time of surface ultrasonic waves is determined, and electronic-microscopic examinations of long-term working built-up and basic metal are performed, meanwhile the acoustic criteria of assessment of resource of long-term working basic and built-up metal contains the coefficient which takes into account an anisotropy of acoustic characteristics, and also the coefficient which takes into account the change of value of local fields of internal stresses in the studied metal.
EFFECT: possibility during assessment of level of metal damages to take into account quantitatively a degree of change of structural - phase state of built-up and basic metal during long-term operation.
