FEED STUFF COMPOSITIONS FOR DOMESTIC ANIMALS CONTAINING PROBIOTICS, METHODS FOR PRODUCING AND USING THEM Russian patent published in 2014 - IPC A23K1/16 A23K1/00

Abstract RU 2533024 C2

FIELD: medicine, pharmaceutics.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to feed stuff compositions for domestic animals. The feed stuff composition contains a starch source and living probiotic microorganisms. The starch source has a degree of gelatination less than approximately 7.5 J/g of starch. The living probiotic microorganism is one or more of the genera: Bifidobacterium, Bacteroides, Clostridium, Fusobacterium, Melissococcus, Propionibacterium, Streptococcus, Enterococcus, Lactococcus, Staphylococcus, Peptostrepococcus, Bacillus, Pediococcus, Micrococcus, Leuconostoc, Weissella, Aerococcus, Oenococcus or Lactobacillus. The probiotic is an ingredient of the composition in an amount from approximately 104 CFU/g of the feed stuff to approximately 1014 CFU/g of the feed stuff. A method for preparing the composition involves the following stages: mixing poultry flour and/or soya flour and one or more probiotics; adding the starch source and water and mixing; extruding the mixture at a temperature less than approximately 70°C; and drying the material at a temperature less than approximately 70°C.

EFFECT: feeding the feed stuff promotes the companion animal's skin and/or hair health support, provides the companion animal's immune system control, ensures the ageing effect relief or reduction and the companion animal's gastrointestinal health support.
