FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to lighting engineering. The lighting system contains a carpet structure and a control unit. A lighting element is located from the carpet rear side; it has the front and rear surface. The front surface of the lighting element comprises a light source designed to generate light. The carpet back light system comprises a variety of the above source lights. A light transmitting carpet element has the front and rear sides of the carpet element. The light transmitting carpet element is designed to transmit at least a part of light passing in the direction from the rear side to the front surface of the carpet element. The control unit is capable to receive one or more input signals and to generate one or more output signals in response to the input signals in order to control light generated by the light sources.
EFFECT: increase of operational reliability for the lighting system.
