FIELD: textile industry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to carpets suitable for fabricating large machine-sewn articles. Carpet contains primary warp with face and back sides, multitude of fibers attached to warp and sticking out from face side and remaining free on back surface, adhesive material, and optionally a secondary warp. At least one of materials of the primary and secondary warps and adhesive material is constituted by at least one HOMOGENEOUSLY branched polyethylene having short-chain branching distribution index higher than or equal to 70%. Back side of primary warp is coated by adhesive material and optionally by secondary warp using extrusion technique.
