PROTECTIVE GLOVES Russian patent published in 2014 - IPC A41D19/15

Abstract RU 2534070 C1

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: protective gloves consist of fabric lining, connected with protective and outer envelopes, protective envelope is made in form of connected to each other rings, with stainless steel or polymer materials being used as material for them. External and protective envelopes are covered with composite material to provide protection against electromagnetic radiation, consisting of polymer base, in which distributed are particles of compounds -(Fe, Si) or -Co with nanocrystalline structural volume density (0.6÷1.4)·10-5 1/nm3. Polymer base for fixation of position of particles of powder with nanocrystalline structure is made in form of alternating with each other structure elements, located at angle 90° to each other, and each of elements is made in form of located in parallel rows particles of elongated shape, with particles, which are located on the left and on the right of it, being shifted by value, which does not exceed half of maximal particle size. The following range of values of volume density of nanocrystals in amorphous matrix: higher than 0.6·10-5 1/nm3, but less than 1.4·10-5 1/nm3, is optimal; outer envelope is made from X-ray-protected material, which contains polymer binding agent, catalyst, powder-like filling agent based on oxides of elements with different absorbing ability in X-ray range of radiations. As polymer binding agent used is low molecular rubber-containing silicon, and as catalyst - organometal compound from the group of caprylic acid salts and tin (IY), and filling agent contains oxides of rare earth elements with atomic numbers of elements 51.58-71, yttrium oxide, antimony (III) oxide with particle size in the range of values 0.5-30 mcm, with the following component ratio, wt.p.: silicon-containing low molecular rubber - 100, catalyst - 6-8, filling agent - 350-450, with antimony (III) oxide and ∑ of oxides of rare earth elements REE and yttrium taken in ratio 1:1. as material, absorbing radioactive radiation, applied is material, which lead oxides ( lead II, IY oxides) contains as filling agents and binding agent - polyvinylbutiral, ethylacetate, di-(alkylpolyethyleneglycol) ether of phosphoric acid of formula , where R is alkyl group, containing 8-10 atoms of carbon and ethylcellulose with the following component ratio, wt %: lead II, IY oxide 30.6-56.8, polyvinylbutiral 3,8-10,2, ethylacetate 14,3-26,5, di-(alkylpolyethyleneglycol) ether of phosphoric acid 0,2-0,4,, ethylcelluloses - the remaining part.

EFFECT: increased degree of operator protection from electromagnetic radiation.
