SUBSTANCE: invention can be used when controlling complex objects and for solving tasks for recognising and analysing data of objects, situations, processes or phenomena of a random nature, described by weakly formalised features (symptoms, factors) which can be represented in form of fuzzy sets. The result is achieved by a device having a situation sensor, a class input unit, a fuzzy feature based comparison unit, a comparison counter, a comparison result processing unit, a threshold filter, a threshold value input unit and a classification result output unit.
EFFECT: enabling classification of a situation based on a set of features given by fuzzy statements, variability of a set of known classes.
