FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to a process of underground formations plugging for oil and/or gas production. The first stage includes the introduction of particles absorbing water to fluid-containing and porous rocks. Swellable water-soluble and crosslinking polymers will serve as the above particles. In result the above particles in the fluid-containing rocks prevent the fluid flow through the rock layers due to water absorption. At that the absorbing particles contain a superabsorbing polymer with anionic and/or cationic characters and a slow-swelling effect. Swelling of the superabsorbing polymer will be started at least five minutes upon its introduction. At that the above polymer is produced by at least one version out of the four suggested versions for the process.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of underground formations plugging.
