FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: tungsten carbide insert comprises a cylindrical liner, working head connected to each other by a conical section, and the unit fixing the insert to the body of the drilling bit. The side surface of the liner is designed, at least, with two circular grooves with triangular section in the longitudinal plain located below the conical section. The conical sections of circular grooves with their smaller bases are facing one to another.
EFFECT: simplification of technology of fabrication of insert and ensuring of high reliability of fixing in the drilling tool housing.
