FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radial tire for carriers of heavy cargoes, for example, trucks, trailers, tractors and busses. Proposed tire comprises radial reinforcement consisting of at least one ply of metallic reinforcement elements. Note here that said tire includes the crown area reinforcement. Crown area reinforcement is covered radially from above by the tread connected with two beads by two side strips. Reinforcement elements of at least one said ply are composed of metal cords. Said cords at permeability test feature permeability rate of at least 20 cm3/min. At least 10% of metal cords are wound with strand composed of multifilament textile fibres.
EFFECT: higher wear resistance of tire.
