SUBSTANCE: method includes forming, on a surface, a coating from a dimethylalkylbenzylammonium chloride complex containing a C₁₀-C₁₄ alkyl group or a mixture of C₈-C₁₆ alkyl groups with a copolymer of styrene and maleic anhydride, which is subjected to preliminary chemical modification to open anhydride rings to form carboxyl groups, 50-60% of which are neutralised to form carboxylate groups, or a mixture of said complex with polyvinyl butyral, in the following ratio, wt %: antiseptic polymer complex 25-40, polyvinyl butyral 60-75.

EFFECT: full prolonged protection of articles made of aluminium alloy from fouling by microorganisms, which prevents corrosive change of the surface of said alloys.
