FIELD: chemistry of high-molecular compounds. SUBSTANCE: compound for restoration of marble sculpture includes, mas.%: polyvinyl butyral 27.65-27.70; polymethyl methacrylate 16.55-16.60; marble powder 16.55-16.60; ethyl alcohol 38.65-38.80. Introduced into compound is catapol in the amount of 0.30-0.60 mas. % . Catapol is based on complex of dimethylbenzylammonium chloride (catamine) and copolymer of vinylpyrrolidone (85-89 mol.%) with crotonic acid (11-15 mol.%) at their mass ratio of 3:7. EFFECT: higher biostability. 3 tbl
