SUBSTANCE: short breechblock differs from know designs in that its length exceeds the distances between breechblock front position and cylindrical or main conical surface of cartridge case and smaller than distance from breechblock front position to cartridge case bottom. Besides, breechblock can be a telescopic design composed of several telescopic cylinders. Note here that breech box rear has mushroom-like ledge with recess to receive hammer rear part. Note here that said ledge enters the breechblock rear telescopic cylinder. Besides, breechblock can have two or more telescopic cylinders, one of the latter being spring-loaded backward.
EFFECT: decreased gun length.
