FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: shell consists of walls and a bottom. The shell has a diameter equal to or smaller than the diameter of the barrel. The shell has at the rear end the volume bounded by the bottom and the cylindrical walls. In the bottom there is weakening of the structure in the form of recesses or pimples. In another embodiment of the invention, the shell neck has an outer narrowing with the angle of tapering smaller than the self-braking angle. Also, the neck has an inner surface of cylindrical or expanding forward shape. In the latter case - with the angle less than the self-braking angle.
EFFECT: simplification of weapon using cartridges with such shells.
