FIELD: physics, computer engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering and is intended for controlling the process of assembling multicomponent articles. An automated system for controlling the process of assembling an article, monitoring and information support of the process, which includes an automated workstation comprising a controller, first and second inputs/outputs of which are respectively connected to the memory unit of databases and an RFID tag reader, and the first and second outputs are respectively connected to a display and an audio signalling device; the system comprises a work area, a work area occupation sensor, an RFID tag programmer having a tag printer function, and a bus for connection to a local area network, wherein the controller further comprises, formed by its software and hardware, a buffer register of a given component code, a buffer register of tag data, a reader for reading the number of the next assembling operation and a timer, as well as a memory unit for current data of the assembling process.
EFFECT: broader functional capabilities owing to compliance verification of a given sequence of connecting identified components.
