FIELD: heating.
SUBSTANCE: ice generator for a refrigerating unit includes at least one tray capable of being turned about the axis and divided into compartments, each of which is designed for manufacture of one piece of ice, and a frame that is open at least on the upper side and the lower side and into which a tray is placed. A cover plate is attached to the upper side of the frame, and the lower side of the frame is hidden with a receiving container. On two longitudinal sides of the frame a provision is made for the first retaining channels to be fixed in the refrigerating unit, which are made in the form of horizontal ribs that project sideward from the longitudinal sides.
EFFECT: use of this invention will allow eliminating formation of frost in a compartment of a refrigerating unit and possibility of horizontal movement of an ice generator in direction of longitudinal sides.
