FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of recycling liquid radioactive wastes (LRW), including their immobilisation into crystalline material, and can be used at enterprises of nuclear power industry and chemical-metallurgical enterprises. Method includes synthesis of insoluble compounds, immobilising long-lived radionuclides and further separation of sediment. LRW, containing complexes of Co with athylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA), with realisation of electrochemical synthesis of insoluble cobalt compounds. For this purpose electric current with parameters corresponding to mode of microarc oxidation is connected to electrodes, located in reservoir with LRW. Process is performed under normal conditions.

EFFECT: invention provides possibility of purifying LRW, containing soluble complexes of metals with EDTA with simplification of apparatus complex, providing LRW purification.
