FIELD: physics, communication.
SUBSTANCE: proposed invention relates to communications equipment and may be used in telecommunication technologies. The invention comprises a unit of wave compression and division, a device of division of directions of light flux propagation, and also a group of external connectors. Besides, usage of optical multiplexers-demultiplexers with division of propagating directions makes it possible to increase number of connected subscribers in a single-fibre network infrastructure of a passive network of wideband access with wave division, and also to double a number of channels in single-fibre systems of transmission and in other optical systems with wave compression, without change in the number of wave lengths used in these systems.
EFFECT: technical result consists in increased number of connected subscribers and provision of the possibility to implement effective system-network solutions in wideband multimedia services in optical access networks, in manifold and other optical telecommunications networks.
