FIELD: communication.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of automation, communications, and can be used in railway transport to ensure wayside communication. To realise the technical result, the apparatus includes two terminal stations A and B, 1+n wayside access nodes, and a fibre-optic communication line. Each terminal station comprises a control unit of the station duty officer, an Ethernet switch, and a station access apparatus containing a switching station and 1+n SFP modules for transmission at the wavelength thereof and a CWDM multiplexer/demultiplexer. Each wayside access node comprises two SFP modules, an electricity source, and a monophone apparatus. In the method, the monophone apparatus and the wayside access node are pre-activated; then an electric digital signal is generated on the control unit of the station duty officer A.
EFFECT: higher operating efficiency of wayside communication, increased transmission speed.
