FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the mechanical engineering area, in particular to the design of threaded joints. The threaded joint intended for the conversion of the rotary motion in translational one is characterised by that at least on one side of the profile and along the whole length of a screw and/or a nut thread grooves are implemented with the width and the depth up to 0.1 of the thread turn with passing to the cylindrical surface of the outer diameter of the thread and with the contact of the surface of the internal diameter of the screw, and near the nut with passing to the cylindrical surface of the internal diameter and with the contact of the outer diameter surface. The length of each groove is from 0.1 to 10 diameters of the thread.
EFFECT: improvement of the performance and service life of threaded joints.
