FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wear-resistant cast irons for operation under conditions of dry friction and high temperature of working gas medium and can be used for production of seats of a gas distributing mechanism of automobile engines operating on natural gas. Cast iron contains the following, wt %: carbon 2.5-3.2; silicone 2.3-2.7; manganese 8.5-10.0; chrome 3.5-4.5; aluminium 4.5-5.3; vanadium 1.5-2.0; iron is the rest.
EFFECT: increasing wear resistance of cast iron at dry friction and high temperature of working medium at absence of considerable impact and bending loads due to creation of a heterogeneous structure formed with metastable austenite and a carbide network.
