SUBSTANCE: rotary indexer comprises a base on which a face plate is mounted and can be rotated and fixed in the specified angular position, indexing grooves are provided along the face plate generatrix, mechanisms to rotate and fix the face plate in its specified angular position are also installed on the base. The case of the face plate rotation mechanism is able of reciprocating displacement in respect to the face plate by means of a drive, an axis spring-loaded in respect to the case, is installed in the case and can turn, a roller and a pin are mounted on the axis with eccentricity. The roller can contact with the thrust surface present on the base, and the pin can be inserted in the indexing groove of the face plate.

EFFECT: simple design, reliable operation during long period of time and high accuracy of specified angular turn.
