FIELD: machine tool building. SUBSTANCE: device has a body, in which a gear-rack drive for rotating the face chuck 3 and the cam member 12, controlling a stopper, are arranged. Between the cam member 12 and the stopper the plunger 13 is mounted; between the face chuck 3 and a frame of the table 2 the friction member 8 is mounted. The member 8 is being forced to the face chuck 3 with the aid of adjusting screws and leaf springs for providing a smooth braking of the chuck 3 upon an operation process. A rotation of the face chuck 3 is being performed with the aid of the driving cylinder 7 through the rod-rack 6, the pinion 5, the lever 11, carrying the pawl 10, acting upon the ratchet wheel 9.
