FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: system comprises a cowling, a scanning mirror, a thermal direction-finding channel with an optical system and a photodetector, a laser range-finding channel with an emitter, a receiving optical system and a photodetector, a laser interfering radiation channel and a television channel for imaging the object space. Continuous scanning of a given area in space is carried out using the scanning mirror in scanning mode. The optical system of the thermal direction-finding channel includes a component which widens the viewing field thereof, which reduces the time of scanning the scanning area. After detecting a target, the system switches to tracking mode during which an image of the target is superimposed with the optical axis of the thermal direction-finding channel. When switching from scanning mode to tracking mode, the optical system of the thermal direction-finding channel includes a component which narrows the viewing field thereof, thereby reducing the elementary viewing field of the system and increasing tracking accuracy.
EFFECT: faster scanning of space, high probability of guiding laser radiation towards a target, broader functional capabilities.
