FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to visual indication of speed of an amphibian water bomber in process of water intake while slipping on water surface. When the method is used, a pilot is notified about the ratio of the current speed and its border values set for this mode of flight with the help of conventional colours on a unit of light sections-indicator boards. The colour of the central section displays the current speed of the aircraft, and colours of upper and lower sections are used to indicate forecast of the speed mode depending on weight and acceleration of the aircraft. The speed indication device comprises sensors of aircraft motion parameters, a calculator, a data base containing parameters of atmosphere condition and dependence of speed of take-off on the aircraft weight, and an indicator made in the form of diamond-shaped sections-indicator boards.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides for more complete filling of tanks with water due to provision of information on aircraft speed.
