FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to steam barrier adaptive to moisture used for heat insulation of buildings. This barrier consists of material that, at relative air humidity of 45-58%, features plateau Sd of 2-5 m of equivalent air ply diffusion depth. Proposed method of making of moisture-adaptive steam barrier comprises the mixing of pelletised material from polyamide with granulated auxiliary substances, in particular, polyethylene polymers. Said mix is fused for chemical mixing to get, from the melt, the pelletised material consisting of the mix of polyamide and auxiliary substance wherefrom a steam barrier is produced by extrusion or forming with blowing.
EFFECT: ruled out critical moisture transfer through steam barrier.
