FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: roll of a pilger mill is provided in a circumferential direction of a body with a diameter of 1150 mm with a groove of a round section with tangential projections, the length of which is composed of an in-series located hammer with a central angle of 90°, a polishing section with a central angle of 80°, and an angle of a longitudinal projection with a central angle of 40° and an idle section with a central angle of 150°. Angles of a cross projection in the section of the hammer from a zero point to the central angle equal to 20° are constant and equal to 35°. In the hammer section 70° with a transition to the polishing section with a central angle of 10° the cross projection angles are smoothly reduced from 35 to 23°. In the polishing section with a central angle of 70° the cross projection angles are constant and equal to 23°, and on the longitudinal projection angle of 40° with a transition to an idle section of 10° the cross projection angles smoothly increase from 23 to 35°. In an idle section of 140° with a transition to the hammer with a central angle of 20° the cross projection angles are constant and equal to 35°.
EFFECT: production of marketable thin-wall tubes with increased wall accuracy; reduction of a coefficient of metal consumption.
