FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to calibration of Pilger mill rolls for 273-630 mm diameter pipes rolling. Roll body has round-section pass with tangential transverse exits. Said pass consists of the die composed by roll flange increasing radius of Θh = 90-120° with smoothly varying transverse exit angle αt.e.h..It includes also a finishing section of the angle of Θf = 60-90° with constant cross-section and transverse exit angle αf.e.t.i.. Lengthwise exit section angle makes Θl.e. = 30-40° with smoothly increasing varying transverse exit angle αt.e.i.t.e. and idling section of constant cross-and transverse exit angle αf.e.t.i.. = 33°.
EFFECT: makes smaller transverse and lengthwise curvature and difference in wall depth, lower metal input.
