FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: inventions relate to lighting engineering and can be used in production of light diode devices for general illumination. Composition for obtaining optically transparent material contains components in the following proportions: 100 wt. p. of thermoplastic polymer - polycarbonate; 0.1-1 wt. p. of mixture for thermal stabilisation, including tris-(2,4-ditertbutylphenyl)phosphate and octadecyl-3-(3′,5′-ditertbutyl-4′-hydroxyphenyl)propionate in ratio 4:1; 1-10 wt. p. of metal-activated luminophore - Nb3+: Y3 Al5 O12 with particle size from 0.5 to 10 mcm; 0.1-1 wt. p. of metal deactivator 2′,3-bis-propionhydrazide; 0.2-6.0 wt. p. of compatibiliser, represented by modified polymer based on low-density linear polyethylene with engrafted functional acrylate and epoxide chemically active groups. Said composition is used to manufacture light-dispersing envelope of light diode illuminating devices in form of thin-walled optically transparent body of flat, semi-spherical or cylindrical shape.
EFFECT: composition is not decomposed in the process of moulding products from melt, with light-dispersing envelope preserving optic properties in the course of long-term exploitation.
