FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radiochemical technology and can be applied for obtaining uranium dioxide powder, which is used in production of ceramic tablets of uranium oxide nuclear fuel. Method of obtaining uranium dioxide powder consists in heating mixture of uranylnitrate solution and hydrazinehydrate, taken in not less than double molar excess relative to uranylnitrate, to temperature 80-95°C in reactor with water lock, the following temperature exposure of obtained suspension of uranylhydronitrate until hydrated uranium dioxide is formed, filtration and incineration of hydrated uranium hydroxide in non-oxidising atmosphere at temperature ≥280°C.
EFFECT: invention ensures simplification of method of obtaining uranium dioxide powder, as well as reduction of pressure and reduction of temperature of reagent denitration process.
