FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: phase voltages and currents on both sides of the line are fixed, their emergency components are separated, the voltages and currents are divided by zero sequence components and non-zero components - differences of phase voltages (currents) and their zero sequence components. Two-wire models of the power line of direct sequence and zero sequence are compiled which are operated in two modes - passive and active. In the passive mode to the input of the first side of the model the first voltage equal to the respective specified voltage of straight line or zero sequence is fed, and to the input of the second side of the model the first currents equal to the respective specified currents of the straight line or zero sequence are fed, and in the active mode the input of the first side of model is shunted, and the input of the second side is disconnected. The response of the passive model is determined in the form of the second current at the input of the first side of the model and the second voltage on the input of the second side of the model, the third current is determined as a difference of the first and second current on the first input of the model and the third voltage as a difference of the first and second voltage on the second input of the model, a ratio between the third voltage and the third current is found, using which the place of short circuit of the power line is identified.
EFFECT: improvement of efficiency and simplicity of the method.
