FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: method of making a pulsed plasma antenna includes coating the inner surface of a recess in an explosive charge, initiating the explosive change on a side opposite to the recess, and projecting the coating material in the surrounding space at a rate sufficient for ionisation of ionised material when moving in an atmosphere formed by the plasma antenna. The coating is made of light metals, e.g. aluminium or aluminium alloys, is compressed by detonation products on the axis of symmetry of the charge to form a solid compact non-gradient or low-gradient cumulative body in the surrounding space; interacting the body during flight thereof with the atmosphere to generate a shock wave and a trail line by thermal ionisation of air, heating the material of the surface of the body, decomposition thereof and entry into the trail line, wherein the plasma antenna is formed due to the high-speed body from the ionised air and ionised products of decomposition of the cumulative body.
EFFECT: greater length of the formed antenna.
