FIELD: space technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to space technologies, namely to methods for developing the resources of the space environment from the surface of an astronomical object, such as an asteroid or comet, and can be used in the study of planets, comets and other celestial bodies. The method for mining includes the landing of an automatic space module on the surface of an astronomical object, the formation of a hole in the surface of an astronomical object, the excavation of soil and the placement of soil in a soil-collecting device. A cylindrical or rectangular hole is formed in the surface of an astronomical object by a cumulative jet formed during the explosion of a hypercumulative charge installed by the manipulator of the space module at a distance from the surface of the astronomical object equal to 1-10 diameters of the hypercumulative charge. Several hypercumulative charges are installed, spatially spaced apart from each other. Tandem hypercumulative charges are used. A combination of linear and axisymmetric hypercumulative charges is used. Hypercumulative charges are initiated simultaneously. An explosive charge is placed in the hole and its initiation is carried out.
EFFECT: increase in the productivity of the mining process at astronomical objects.
