SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a communication system using Low-Density Parity-Check (LDPC) codes. Disclosed is a channel decoding method using a LDPC code. The method includes steps of demodulating a received signal and determining the position of shortened information bits. The method also includes decoding the demodulated signal while taking into account the determined position of shortened information bits, wherein the position is determined based on the number of information bits to be shortened. The method also includes determining the number of groups of bits to be shortened based on the determined number of information bits to be shortened, and obtaining a predetermined order of the groups of bits.

EFFECT: high efficiency of channel decoding in a communication system using LDPC codes.
