SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an information processing device and a method of controlling the information processing device. The information processing device (5000) is configured to communicate with a server system (100), which includes at least one server (1000, 2000, 3000), and a printer (6000). The device includes: receiving means for receiving a single command input by a user, for issuing a print instruction; determining means for determining whether to forward a print task to the server system (100) or the printer (6000) based on processing to be performed, wherein the print task is generated according to the single command received by said receiving means; forwarding means for forwarding the print task to the server system (100) if said determining means determines that the print task is to be forwarded to the server system, and forwarding to the printer (6000) commands to obtain data for printing from the server system (100), and forwarding the print task to the printer (6000) if said determining means determines that the print task is to be forwarded to the printer.
