SUBSTANCE: life support system for a worker relates to the nuclear industry and specifically to life support systems which protect from alpha- and beta-radiation. The system comprises a pressure suit, having a mask, a cylinder with a reducer and an air distributor which is linked by connecting hoses to the reducer of the cylinder, the mask and the inner space of the suit, a nozzle which is hermetically attached to the suit and connected at one side to the air distributor and at the other side to a filter, and a vehicle-mounted external compressed air source with a reducer, which is connected by an air inlet hose to the filter through a detachable connector.

EFFECT: rational consumption of air supplied to the worker, which prolongs the duration of working on areas with a large radius of radioactive contamination while maintaining reliable protection from alpha- and beta-radiation.
