FIELD: personal protective equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to personal protective equipment for the respiratory system, face and eyes from hazardous substances in the air. The gas mask consists of a front part, which includes a mask or helmet-mask with an intercom, as well as valve systems of the exhalation unit and the inhalation unit, connected by means of a corrugated tube with an air supply unit located in a frame backpack with internal attachments and mounting holes. According to the invention, the air supply unit is a duplicated system that includes an electronic power supply and control unit for the operation of a plasma-photochemical air purification system, consisting of a sealed housing, in which, in front of the air turbine, are arranged in series downstream: mechanical air filters for coarse, fine and extra fine cleaning, electrostatic filter, photocatalytic filter, UV LED matrix, catalytic filter for ozone decomposition. Photocatalytic and catalytic filters are made in the form of plates of air-permeable heat-resistant material, on which catalyst compositions based on titanium dioxide TiO2, manganese dioxide and perovskite doped with silver were applied. After the air turbine, there is a two-channel gas splitter, one channel connected to the plasma-photochemical air purification system, and the other channel connected to a backup redundant air supply source. The switching of the air supply sources is carried out by an automatic system of shut-off two-position electromagnetic gas valves installed at the inputs to the channels of the gas splitter. The invention can be used to protect the respiratory system from the damaging effects of harmful gases and aerosols in both military and civilian spheres.
