SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of performing collective work on documents. The method comprises generating blocking creation metadata which include information on new blocking created when a user begins to edit part of a document, blocking removal metadata which include information on removing blocking, and blocking deletion metadata which include information on deleting blocking; recording the blocking creation metadata in both a data channel and a separate metadata channel; recording the blocking removal metadata in a data channel and recording the blocking deletion metadata in a metadata channel.

EFFECT: reduced probability of conflicts during collaborative editing of a document.
