FIELD: physics, acoustics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to acoustics, particularly earphones. An earphone assembly comprises a first earphone having a first housing, an ear plug of the first earphone which extends from the housing, and a channel formed on the side of the housing of the first earphone opposite to the ear plug, a wire stem extending from the housing, a first wire extending from the first wire stem. A second earphone comprises a second housing, which includes an ear plug which extends from the housing, and a channel formed on the side of the housing opposite the ear plug, and a wire stem which extends from the second housing, a second wire which extends from the second wire stem. The first channel has dimensions and is configured to detachably engage with the second wire stem, and the second channel has dimensions and is configured to detachably engage with the first wire stem. The first channel and the second channel are configured to simultaneously interact with the second wire stem and the first wire stem, respectively, for interconnection of the first earphone and the second earphone, and wherein the first channel and the second channel are arranged such that when the first earphone and the second earphone are interconnected, the first ear plug is directed from the second wire stem, the second ear plug is directed from the first wire stem, and the first and second wires are directed from each other.

EFFECT: easier use by avoiding entanglement of wires during storage and operation.
