SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of improving immunity of a companion animal. The method includes the introduction of glucose antimetabolite to the companion animal in an amount, effective for immunity improvement. The immune system of the companion animal responds in such a way that the proliferative ability of T and B immune cells improves after the introduction of glucose antimetabolite.
EFFECT: improvement of immunity includes retardation of the immune system impairment by the retardation of the age-associated increase of CD18+ cells.
