SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of inputting a PIN code for car alarm systems and immobilisers. The method of inputting a PIN code for car alarm systems and immobilisers includes transmitting a secret PIN code signal to a microcontroller of the security system by successively pressing car buttons, comparing the input PIN code with the PIN code stored in the memory of the microcontroller of the security system and unlocking functional parts of the car in case of a match, wherein the buttons used for successive pressing are buttons connected to the CAN bus of the car or buttons connected to the CAN bus of the car and analogue buttons located on the steering wheel.
EFFECT: improved PIN code security for car alarm systems and immobilisers.
