SUBSTANCE: invention relates to access control for providing paid multimedia programs. A method of receiving multimedia content scrambled using control words comprises steps of: receiving, by a security system processor, ECM messages containing at least one cryptogram CW* of a control word CW; decoding the cryptogram CW* by the security system processor; descrambling the scrambled multimedia content by the decoded control word CW; conducting a CAPTCHA test, wherein the correct response to said a CAPTCHA test is contained in the memory of the security system processor; receiving, by the security system processor, a response to said CAPTCHA test and comparing, in the security system processor, the received response with the correct response contained in the memory of the processor; restricting descrambling of the cryptogram CW* in the absence of a response to said CAPTCHA test corresponding to the correct response.
EFFECT: protection from automatic operation of hacker servers by conducting a CAPTCHA test.
