SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method of transmitting first scrambled multimedia content, the display of which is determined by the previous display of second scrambled multimedia content, wherein only said second multimedia content is associated with an access control message containing a control word cryptogram for descrambling the multimedia content and instructions for increasing the counter value in the electronic receiver of the first and second multimedia content, wherein said increment instructions change the counter value in one direction when executed by said electronic receiver, wherein the method includes steps of: sending access control messages associated with each transmitted second multimedia content, transmitting between two second multimedia content other multimedia content not associated with the access control message containing instructions for changing the value of said counter, and transmitting access conditions associated with the transmitted first multimedia content, wherein the access conditions determined the display of first multimedia content given the counter value.
EFFECT: high flexibility of using a counter which determines display of multimedia content.
