FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical-thermal treatment of components made of nickel and nickel alloys. The method of producing rare-earth metal-based diffusion currentless coatings on a component made of nickel or nickel alloys includes saturating lead which is in an equimolar melt of potassium and sodium chlorides with said alkali metals via electrolysis, wherein the amount of electricity passed is 9.7 C/cm3, placing into said melt a rare-earth metal salt and said component, which is electrically closed with the lead which is saturated with said alkali metals to enable currentless transfer of the rare-earth metal through said melt onto said component, wherein said operations are carried out in an inert atmosphere at temperature of 1073-1173 K.
EFFECT: high heat resistance and corrosion resistance of the coating.
