FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to machine building and can be used to adjust the rotation speed of a driven shaft. A driving pulley and a driven pulley enclosed by a V-belt are installed at the driving and driven shafts. Every pulley is made up of two semi-pulleys, a fixed semi-pulley and a semi-pulley able of movement in axial direction, which consist of conical disks with hubs. Double-arm levers are installed in the device and contact with the semi-pulleys, they are fitted by intermediate supports designed to provide for the movement of the semi-pulleys of the driving and driven shafts in the opposite directions. The intermediate supports are coupled by a common axis and are movable in the transverse plane of the variator. The intermediate support of one double-arm lever is unadjustable. The intermediate support of the other double-arm lever is adjustable, it is provided for mutual displacement of the semi-pulleys of the driving and driven shafts to control their pressure on the side surfaces of the V-belt.
EFFECT: longer service life of a V-belt variator.
