FIELD: physics, atomic power.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nuclear power engineering and specifically to liquid metal, primarily sodium, cooled fast reactor cores. The core consists of multiple fuel assemblies consisting of multiple separate cells, each having a fuel element in an external cladding. A solid hydrogen-metal connection is introduced in different allowable areas of the core. The connection consists of uranium hydride, zirconium hydride, thorium hydride and/or molybdenum hydride.
EFFECT: low effect of evaporation of the liquid metal.
