SUBSTANCE: method comprises annual pinching of green main shoots when they reach 10-15 cm in length before the formation of shoots of the second order. Then from the formed on the lower nodes of the main shoots of side shoots with the thickness of at least 5 mm and the length of at least 4-5 buds in autumn of the current year or in spring of the next year, more frost resistant stems are created, sleeves, shoulders of cordons, and from their side shoots - fruiting units: horns, substitution knots, fruit canes.
EFFECT: method enables to increase the yield and frost resistance of grapes, especially of weakly frost resistant varieties, and to provide the ability of its application in all areas of viticulture on own-rooted and grafted grape plantations.
