SUBSTANCE: method involves leaving only one bud on replacement branch each year in spring; pinching said bud above second or third node to cause development of two strong epicormic branches, from which fruit links are subsequently formed. Method provides effective means for controlling longitudinal polarity of grape bushes and increases resistance of buds to unfavorable environmental factors.
