FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises constructing a model of the investigated section based on electrophysical data; at selected obstruction-hazard sections of a river in the summer period, performing ground-penetrating radar investigation of the geometry of the bottom and thickness distribution of bottom deposits; in the prefreshet period, using ground-penetrating radar to determine snow depth of the river basin, as well as the structure and thickness of the ice cover of the river, by merging the obtained ground-penetrating radar data, predicting the hydrologic environment on obstruction-hazard parts of the river.
EFFECT: predicting the hydrologic environment on obstruction-hazard parts of the river.
