FIELD: geophysics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to geophysics, namely to ground-penetrating radar in environment conditions, in which there is natural attenuation of electromagnetic signals, and can be used in radar reconnaissance of water bodies covered with ice, in particular, for detection of pipelines, communication lines, in deep-water reservoirs and/or under a layer of bottom sediments during winter period. Disclosed is a method for georadar investigation of underwater objects, including georadar survey on the survey area of an underwater object, which is characterized by that using a frame antenna device for a georadar, comprising a housing for accommodating a georadar, consisting of skids 1 and frame formed of vertical posts 3, rigidly connected by means of lower transverse beams 2, and an upper movable horizontal frame composed of beams 4 and angular bushings 5, freely coupled with vertical posts 3 through bushings 5 equipped with retainers. Ground penetrating radar with antenna unit 7 and control unit 8 with recording device 9 is fixed to upper frame of frame device, setting height of georadar relative to surface of ice or snow cover within 100 cm is performed by means of movable frame with retainers depending on conditions of survey and type of used antenna device. Further, driving and georadar survey are carried out, moving the device on skids 1 along a given section profiling grid.
EFFECT: high efficiency of using georadars when inspecting underwater objects due to increased resolution of the georadar when probing through an ice cover and reducing the number of interference signals.
