FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: sigma-like functions are constructed with variable factors of curvature and preset equations to be used for setting the vessel motion path and conditions. Said sigma-like functions approximate gradients and vector component variations and displacement of vessel control point subject to path made by vessel. Radius of curvature in approximation expressions is set by the sum of exponential relationships and allows to allow for changes in kinematic parameters of vessel motion and their gradients due to the change in force magnitude.

EFFECT: higher safety of navigation in port areas.
